"How?" Yi Zhen asked. "Your mother will probably say she doesn't know. Then tell her you'll ask your Daddy," Snip said while rolling up the window. "You'll get your answer." "YiRu is my..." Yi Zhen was not in herself continued to walk. ########################################################### "Hey Mom... is it true that Daddy has a son named Calvin?" Yi Zhen asked while sitting at the counter. "What? I've never heard about it," Mrs. Cai answered without looking. "Mom, I want to know the truth. Is YiRu my older brother?" Yi Zhen asked her head down. "Who told you that?" Mrs. Cai asked again. "If you won't tell me, then I will ask Daddy!" Yi Zhen said loudly. Mrs. Cai took a photo from her closet and gave to Yi Zhen. "I was shocked when I first saw YiRu," Mrs. cai said. "This is YiRu..." Yi Zhen looking at the photo. "Yiru, I mean Calvin disappeared a few years after this picture was taken. But for some reason, your father doesn't want to talk about it." Mrs. Cai told. "So you keep it as a secret?" Yi Zhen asked. "Sometimes it's better not to know certain things," Mrs. cai replied. "YiRu is my older brother... why... why," Yi Zhen's tears fell on the picture. ########################################################### The next day... Yi Zhen walk towards the wedding shop and stop by the window. She saw YiRu throwing some garbage. "YiRu..." she whispered. "Miss Yi Zhen, what are you doing? YiRu is inside," DaDong said from her back. "Do you want me to go get him?" "It's fine," Yi Zhen ran towards the opposite direction away from the shop. "YiRu, did you do anything that would upset Yi Zhen?" DaDong asked as he entered the shop. "What?" YiRu looked up from his desk. "YiRu isn't like you, DaDong," ChunNie commented checking his ingredients. "She was just outside, looking all serious. Go talk to her," DaDong asked him. "Don't worry about the shop, go!" YaLun said. YiRu left the shop and ran outside bumping DaDong. "Hey, oh boy! It's tiring being around amateurs in love," DaDong regaining his balance. Meanwhile... "Yi Zhen..." YiRu looked from left to right. He went everywhere but can't find Yi Zhen. "Yi Zhen... what are these feelings that I'm having?" he said to himself while running nonstop. "I want to see you." Later afternoon... Dingdong! Dingdong! YiRu kept pressing the doorbell but no one opening the door. Yi Zhen was inside but not answering. YiRu left the condominium. "I wonder what happened to her..." YiRu said while returning to their shop. Then he remembered what Snip said to him. "If I told Yi Zhen that you were a member of Night Slayers, an assassin group... what would she think?" "He didn't?" YiRu's eyes open wide in surprise. YiRu quickly went to Lao Ba's office. "Good of you to come, YiRu." Lao Ba said to him. "Please tell me," YiRu demanded. "Tell you what?" Lao Ba said avoiding his eyes. "Lao Ba, you knew my past all along. Why would you assign me to a mission to kill my brother?" YiRu asked in anger. Lao Ba stood up and face the window. "Ru Wan Teng is using his position as a Vice Prime Minister to control Taiwan with the help of a secret organization, Ezdan. To attain his goals, he even forced two of his sons to help him." He faced YiRu. "Chen YiRu, I know it's hard to fight your own family. But in this world, there are evil people who must be stopped even if they are your parents. I want you to understand." Lao Ba said firmly. "I don't understand! You don't know anything! You don't know how I feel..." YiRu shouted. "Yes, I do know. Because... I'm Steven Teng. Ru Wan Teng's brother." Lao Ba confirmed to YiRu. YiRu was speechless. "I am a Teng too. It's hard for me to fight against my brother." Lao Ba trying to let YiRu understand. "That's a lie! Why do you make me do this then? Why don't you do it yourself? Why not hunt evildoers as part of Night Slayers?" YiRu was hysterical. "Me, a Night Slayer?" Lao Ba chuckled. "Yes!" YiRu quickly answered. "I'm sorry but I don't have that kind of strength," Lao Ba said calmly. "No, that's not it. You just don't want to get your hands dirty!" YiRu accused him. YiRu! That's enough!" Ella shouted. "You're just selfish!" YiRu walked away and stopped when he reach the door. "One more thing. Why didn't my father pay for the ransom?" "I don't have the answer to that," Lao Ba said. YiRu slammed the door and walked away full of hatred. ########################################################### "It's done," Geeky said after he finished editing YiRu and Ru Wan's photo attached to an email. "Good job, Geeky." Snip said while looking at his work. "Keep up the good work." "This isn't my style." Geeky stretched out from his seat. "Doesn't it feel great to control people's minds? I'm just sharing it with you. You should be thankful." Snip said. Hook giggled at the back. The door opened and Mark Teng showed up. "Snip, what are you up to now?" he asked. "Hey Mark, did you know that people's minds taste like honey?" Snip asked. "Don't get caught up with the sweet taste and forget to watch out for the bees." Mark said seriously. "You're no fun at all." Snip smirked. ########################################################### YiRu was still looking at Yi Zhen until the evening. He went to the restaurant, to the plaza, to the theatre, but no sign of Yi Zhen. He didn't know that Yi Zhen was following him. "YiRu..." she said sadly. "Hey..." Snip tapped her. Meanwhile... "Night Slayers, Chen YiRu, real name Calvin Teng, is a spy sent by Ru Wan Teng to eradicate the Slayers. If you would like further proof, come to Taipei National Park at midnight tonight." ChunNie read the email sent to them. "What's this?" DaDong asked. "It's fake," YaLun said. "But who? How did they hack into our system?" ChunNie asked.Mission 9: Why Part 2
"You just thought of your mother, didn't you?" Snip looked at Yi Zhen with a smirk. "That's the right answer."
