A/N: About the decade thing; I meant centuries lol sry about that =P @ blm thx 4 correcting me all the time haha ^^
I wonder what would happen when the dragon's slayers reached us. Will they kill Prince Dragon? That outcome was possible because he kidnapped me. I wondered how my parents are doing as well as Prince Xiu. I'm confused trying to figure out who I loved more. I wanted Prince Dragon to feel the love that he never had for centuries. His life didn't turned out well because of my family and I am guilty about it even this, though I had not been born at the time. My great, great grandfather's blood flows within me and which meant I would always be his enemy, but instead of treating me as enemy, he treated me as an acquaintance.
Unlike him, I had a great life, getting everything I wanted, while he lost everyone ever dear to him and was sealed in that dragon box for centuries. I can't blame him for kidnapping me, because all he wanted was to become human again. If he becomes human again, I'd be sure to accompany him and help him forget about those past memories he had. I'd make him experience the life that he never had and lift the darkness that he's feeling right now .He is a good person, but nobody actually saw the good in him. Whenever dragons are mentioned anywhere, everyone will think that they’re evil and that they'll kill people; it’s a pure stereotype.
"It's the cave up there!" Prince Xiu shouted suddenly, removing me from my thought trance.
"Everyone, Let's move out!" Danson, the most skilled dragon slayer commanded.
"People, I can sense them. They’re after us." Prince Dragon said, sniffing the air around us.
"What do we do?" I asked, still very much lost in confusion.
"Let's just wait for them, and then I'll explain. They can at least listen." Prince Dragon decided.
"But what if they don't listen? You could die! They'll kill you!" I interrupted; pure panic took over whatever sanity I had.
"Lady Cyndi, do you love me?" he asked, his eyes pleaded for reassurance, but I didn't know how to reply.
I became quiet for a moment; my mind needed silence.
"During these past few weeks, you have been kind to me, and yes, I'm starting to have feelings for you." I finally declared.
"If that is so, are you willing to turn me back into a human?" Prince Dragon asked, staring straight at my face to analyze what expression I had.
"Of course I would, at all costs!" I replied with utmost confidence in my answer.
"I'm sorry Lady Cyndi; I never told you the whole truth about the green light. If you were to kiss me on the lips, you will die. The green light is what connects us to each other, so I'd rather stay as a dragon than become a human in order to let you live." he explained, his voice lowered and I could see the sadness wash upon his face.
What would I choose; my life or his chance of becoming human again? I value my life, but I wanted to help him.
"Isn't there any other options?" I asked, suddenly disappointed.
"There is one other option. If the Dragon box is smashed into pieces, the green light won't kill my true love; you.” He said thoughtfully.
I felt relief after hearing this. After awhile, the dragon slayers along with Prince Xiu arrived at the cave. "
Hand over Lady Cyndi!" Prince Xiu demanded with authority.
"Go after Prince Dragon! Seal him once more!" Danson, the skilled dragon slayer shouted for the others to obey him.
"Stop! Don't hurt him, please!" I pleaded, standing directly in front of Prince Dragon to block out the dragon slayers.
"He's a nice person if you would just get know him. Don't hurt him, please! All he wants is to become a human again, so please drop your weapons. I'm begging you!" I cried, with tears flowing down my cheek as my voice cracked after every word. Everyone dropped their weapons, and suddenly, Prince Dragon grabbed me.
"You fell for it!" he laughed, his voice turned dark and suddenly I regretted everything I had done for him.
I couldn’t believe that he lied to me about everything. "Everything I said had been true, but my real plan was to capture your feelings so I could kill you to take my revenge." he finally announced the truth behind all his actions.
"Why didn't you just kill me earlier when you had the chance? Why did you wait so long to preserve my life for this day?" I shouted, angry and frustrated.
"I wanted your death to be extra special. I wanted everyone to witness the day you die, and to feel the pain that I have felt for centuries. I've lost everyone who was dear to me because of your wretched family. If anyone dares to attack, I will kill her right now with no hesitations." Prince Dragon shrieked as people below him cowered in terror of his threat.
It was as I had thought from the beginning. He had just pretended to be nice to me, but even so, knowing him for these past weeks made me see that everything was from the bottom of his heart. They didn’t seem like they were lies at all.
"Revenge? Prince Dragon, if you kill me right now, or if you kill everyone in my family, do you think you'll be truly happy? Would your whole clan rise again and be with you just because mine has disappeared? You still won't complete yourself because you lost the most important piece that is needed to complete your life; love. You’ve already forgotten the feeling to love and to be loved. Do you think your whole clan would be happy seeing you like this as they watch from heaven afar? Witnessing you seeking revenge for something that had already occurred so long ago? By doing this, you’re only destroying your life. Prince Dragon, it's not too late to change your mind. You can start a new life again, with all of us. We’re right here. I know everything that you have shown me all these weeks were true. Prove to everyone that half-humans and half-dragons can be more than what they think. You’re not a threat to society, and you’re not scary at all. Show us who you really are; you that you’ve known in your heart.” I said, completely sure in everything that I have said.
"La-dy Cyn-di…" Prince Dragon mumbled in a low tone which resulted in a burst of sudden tears.
His figure suddenly grew smaller and less dragon-like. He was turning back into a human! "He turned back into a human?
"How?" everyone was murmuring amongst themselves while staring at Prince Dragon in awe. "
How did you change back?" I asked, still cradled in his arms. Prince Dragon, as a human, was very handsome. "I don't know, but the old Prince Jiro is back. It seems that the kiss was not the only method to bring my old self back. The answer was simply; love.
"Just like how my clan had loved me, so have you." he smiled at me.
"Prince Xiu, please forgive me." I whispered as slowly leaned forward and kissed Prince Jiro on his lips, softly.
My heart raced uncontrollably as we slipped into a hug. The green light suddenly emerged again, and just as before, I became paralyzed. My heartbeat slowed, but I could still hear voices.
"Quickly, smash the dragon box! It’s the only way to save Lady Cyndi's life!" Prince Jiro commanded to the dragon slayers.
"Good thing we brought it!" Prince Xiu said as he handed the box to Danson.
"Allow me to do the honours of smashing it!" Danson, the dragon slayer said, receiving the box from Prince Xiu.
I could hear a smashing sound and felt my heartbeat speeding up again. After awhile, I regained consciousness.
"Prince Xiu, I'm sorry I--" My head began to spin.
“Its okay, Lady Cyndi; I'm happy for you because you followed your heart." he said smiling, approving of my decision.
As we headed back to the castle, I explained everything to Prince Xiu’s parents and mine. At first, my parents objected to our love, but after awhile, they learned to accept and respect my decision. Everyone accepted Prince Jiro as the Wang Dragon's Survivor, and Prince Jiro was moving on with his new life with me, the person who taught him to love and to forget hatred .Several months later, Prince Jiro proposed to me and soon after, we became were married. We had fraternal twins named Prince Jiro II Wang and Princess Cyndi II Wang. I wondered if our children would be half-dragon half-humans too.
