Chapter 15

"Help! Please help me!" she shouted.

They covered her and quickly put a bulletproof vest then ran towards agent Calvin and officer Jiro. Maddy and officer Jiro hugged tightly.

"I'm so sorry sweetheart. I promise I would never leave you again." officer Jiro kissed Maddy all over her face.

"It's ok. I'm fine. Don't blame yourself." Maddy said.

"Have you seen Cammy?" agent Calvin asked with a worried face.

Before Maddy could answer, one Hongkong Police approached them.

"Sir, one witness saw a moving van ran towards the end of the port loaded with two women and driver. I think one of the passenger is officer Cameron." he informed agent Calvin.

"Cmon! Let's go!" agent Calvin commanded his men.

"Wait here Maddy," officer Jiro said.

He and agent Calvin left Maddy with uncle Jim to the other police officers. As they moved closer to the end of the port, agent Calvin's heart is beating so fast. There are some people gathered around the area and they questioned them.

"Have you seen a white van passed by?" agent Calvin asked.

The old woman pointed at the ocean.

"It went straight ahead." she told them.

"Oh no!" officer Jiro called the headquarters. "Send paramedics and rescue team immediately. We got a van fell off the end of the ocean." he added.

Agent Calvin started to panic. "This can't be happening!"

"Ei! You need to calm down. We will find her. Cmon! The search and rescue team will be here any minute." officer Jiro tapped his shoulder.

Cammy kept blinking her eyes.

"Where am I?" she said.

Her eyes roam around the place.

"Am I dead already?" she kept asking herself.

Suddenly, the door opened, "You're awake," a man came with tray of food in his hand. "How are you feelin?" he asked.

"Quite ok." she answered.

"I'm Chun. And you are?" he asked again.

"I'm....." Cammy tried to remember her name.

Damn! Why she can't remember? Cammy thought.

"I don't know my name," she told him.

"Uh oh! That's a problem." Chun said and put down the tray beside her. "Here, have a bite. You've been unconscious for five days." he added.

"How did you...?" Cammy asked in between bites.

"I found you floating by the sea. You had a gunshot in your chest. But don't worry, it's not serious. The vest protected you." Chun explained.

"Where am I?" she asked again and touched the wound on her chest.

"You're in my island property. 120 kilometres away from the city. Beside the gunshot wound, you're suffering from a head injury resulting to a short term memory loss. It's up to you to regain it back." Chun told her checking her vital signs.

"You're a doctor?" Cammy asked.

I'm a surgeon. I can't find any identification card from you. We need to think a temporary name." he said. "From the clothes your wearing before, I think you're an agent or police officer." he showed her uniform.

Cammy automatically covered herself. "You changed my clothes?!" she almost shouted.

"Wahahaha! Don't be afraid. I didn't see anything. My housekeeper changed it for you." Chun flashed his smile.

Cammy was mesmerized. Suddenly, a flash of memory came into her mind. She saw a man with the same smile who looked very familiar but she can't remember. Cammy held her head. She felt a slight pain.

"Wei! Are you ok? Do you remember anything?" Chun held her shoulder worried.

"I recognized a man but I can't remember who he is." she said frustratedly.

"Don't push yourself. It will come, don't worry. Anyway, I'll leave you for a while. I think you're ok. I'll be back after four hours." Chun stood up and walk through the door.

"Where are you going?" Cammy asked.

"I'm going to the hospital. I won't take long." he closed the door.

Agent Calvin was sitting behind the bar. He's been drinking for five straight days. Officer Jiro and Maddy were so worried about him. When they did the rescue search a few days back, they found two bodies only. The driver and Genie. Agent Calvin was so shocked. He never thought that Genie could do this kind of thing. Later they found out that she is the only daughter of the druglord they're targeting. The mask man is the step son and he escaped quickly.

"Cal, stop doing this to yourself. Cammy wouldn't want you to be like this," Maddy told him taking the glass out of his hand.

"We shouldn't separated. I should let her stay by my side. None of this would happen." tears fell down from his eyes.

"Haola, haola. Take a rest. We'll talk tomorrow." officer Jiro carried agent Calvin to his room.

"He's very miserable right now. I think I should stay with him for a while." officer Jiro told Maddy.

"Ok. I'll go to uncle for the latest news." she kissed him before she left.

Inside the room, agent Calvin saw the shirt Cammy gave to him. He felt more sad and lonely.

"I shouldn't let you go, Cammy. I didn't had a chance to say that I like you. I miss you so much. I'm so sorry," he hugged the shirt tightly and weeping silently.

Officer Jiro came inside. "Wei! Stop torturing yourself. We know deep in our hearts, Cammy is still alive. We haven't found the body, right? Trust your instincts. We will find her very soon." officer Jiro gave an encouraging words.

"Right. I must regain myself. I'm sorry if I've been pain in the ass these past days." agent Calvin apologized to officer Jiro.

"Meiguan xi. We're in this together. Me and Maddy will stay by your side." officer Jiro assured him.
